As a trial lawyer and litigator with extensive experience in the courtroom, writing motions and pleadings, and managing document review teams, Allison credits her organizational and oral and written advocacy skills for her success. She believes companies are the driving force of our country and that protecting her clients' intellectual property is paramount to their success and the success of the economy.

Allison focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition, non-compete, licensing, and other types of civil litigation. She was previously a partner at Lane Powell in Seattle, where she had a national practice in complex litigation including class action defense for Fortune 500 clients including Wal-Mart, Wells Fargo, Texaco, Nordstrom, Weyerhaeuser, and Premera Blue Cross.

A long-time volunteer attorney with King County Bar Association, Allison is a Neighborhood Legal Clinic board member. She also serves on several youth basketball boards. Allison is a novelist and a poet, and she enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with her husband and four children.

Representative Cases

Represented Premera Blue Cross in breach of contract and misrepresentation action against DSHS and Health Care Authority. Twice successfully defended summary judgment of Premera's claims.

Represented Premera in breach of contract actions involving complex risk sharing agreements, including representation in Washington State courts and before arbitration panels.

Represented Texaco in breach of contract action with gas station franchisee. Successfully defended summary judgment for Texaco.

Represented Wal-Mart for five years in first wage and hour collective action against client (Thiebes v. Wal-Mart, USDC, OR), including serving as "second chair" trial counsel during multiweek trial on liability, which included many issues of first impression under FLSA. Twice successfully defeated motion to certify.

Represented co-defendant with BNRR in conspiracy-based class action in three federal courts. Successfully consolidated litigation before Multi-District Litigation panel.

Represented major U.S. retailers in Civil RICO class action regarding Saipan garment manufacturing industry. Successfully concluded litigation for clients after extensive motions practice.

Represented Frito-Lay in wage and hour class action with a successful resolution which included renegotiating a collective bargaining agreement.

Represented Texaco in contract employee class action and successfully defeated class certification.

Represented Wells Fargo Bank in a consumer fraud class action with no class certified and a successful conclusion.

Advised and represented institutional and individual fiduciaries and beneficiaries, including Wells Fargo, in contested probate, trust and guardianship matters.
