Andrew J. Lagatta

Andrew practices Intellectual Property law with an emphasis on patent matters. He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in diverse electrical, electronic, and mechanical technology fields, including computer architecture, electronic control systems, medical devices, communications networks, and power distribution systems, as well as database management systems, operating systems, digital content encryption and distribution, financial distribution networks, and business methods. Andrew also analyzes patentability and clearance issues, and provides general intellectual property counseling. Andrew has litigation experience as well, including drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery, and conducting infringement, validity, and enforceability analyses.

While in law school, Andrew served as an editor of the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology. Prior to practicing law, Andrew worked for Intel Corporation, where he focused on desktop computer architecture modeling and performance analysis.
