Eric practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent prosecution and client counseling. With his understanding of technology, law, and business, Eric helps clients in the biotechnological, chemical, and pharmaceutical arts meet long and short-term business objectives through conscientious analysis and counseling aimed toward building sound and profitable intellectual property portfolios. His practice encompasses intellectual property portfolio management, worldwide patent procurement, patentability analysis, product clearance, validity analysis, and infringement analysis. Eric has prepared and prosecuted patent applications related to anti-cancer therapeutics, recombinant proteins/peptides, plant expression vectors and transgenic plants, antibodies, stem cells, gene therapy vectors, vaccines, pharmaceutical compounds, pharmaceutical compounding compositions, neural growth implants, tissue scaffolds, polymeric fine fibers, synthetic growth surfaces, spectroscopy devices, and bioprocess systems and methods. Eric has broad experience in the fields of biotechnology and bioprocess engineering and has published research articles in scientific journals relating to microbiological, molecular, and neurological sciences.
