Hema practices general intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent prosecution and client counseling. Her practice focuses primarily on biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and chemicals. Hema’s graduate research involved the study of advanced materials, including ceramics, polymers and composites and as a postdoctoral fellow, she also gained experience in molecular biology and tissue engineering. Hema has authored several scientific publications in the areas of materials chemistry and cellular and molecular biology.
