John Burke has 20 years of experience advising clients on intellectual property matters with a focus on chemical patent law practice, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, genomics and medical devices, including related patent strategy, opinion work, licensing, due diligence, prosecution and litigation support. John was formerly a shareholder with Greenberg Traurig; General Counsel for Deltagen, Inc., a functional genomics and drug discovery company located in the San Francisco bay area; chairman of the patent law group for the San Diego office of Pillsbury Winthrop; corporate patent counsel for Cortech, Inc., a Denver based biopharmaceutical company; and an associate with the New York office of Morgan & Finnegan.
