Karen practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on the procurement of both U.S. and foreign patent rights. This patent prosecution aspect of her practice has a concentration in the mechanical and electrical arts.  Karen’s practice includes all phases of developing patent portfolios.  On behalf of her clients, Karen has handled patent appeals, reexaminations and reissue application at the U.S. patent & Trademark Office.  Karen's previous experience includes working as an engineer in the heavy duty truck and off-road industry, the electro-mechanical fluid systems industry, and the entertainment industry designing rollercoasters and theme park ride systems.
