Dennis practices general intellectual property law with an emphasis on counseling clients having products and services in the chemical and mechanical technologies. A former patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, his practice includes managing large and small patent portfolios, drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, conducting infringement /noninfringement analyses of patents, patent reissue and reexamination practice, licensing, prosecuting patent applications in almost all countries of the world, conducting European patent oppositions, and patentability analyses. Dennis has considerable experience in the chemical engineering and chemistry technologies including cleaning technologies, paper manufacture and processing, polymer chemistry and polymer processing techniques, detergents and surfactants, polymerization, extraction, distillation, water purification, metallurgy, paints, and adhesives. Areas of experience in the mechanical arts include medical devices, automotive accessories, material handling equipment, filters, and refrigeration systems.
