John focuses on chemical patent law practice, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, genomics and bioinformatics, including related prosecution, opinion and licensing matters, litigation support and client counseling. John was formerly a shareholder with Greenberg Traurig; General Counsel at Deltagen, Inc., a functional genomics and drug discovery company located in the San Francisco bay area; chairman of the patent law group for the San Diego office of Pillsbury Winthrop; corporate patent counsel for Cortech, Inc. a Denver based biopharmaceutical company; and an associate with the New York based law firm of Morgan & Finnegan.
