Merchant & Gould's Diversity Spotlight:

This month's diversity spotlight shines upon Beth Zidones. In addition to excelling in the legal arena, Ms. Zidones also garners rave reviews for one of her other passions outside the courtroom: cooking. Beth makes a delicious lemon meringue pie. Currently her favorite recipe is a risotto complete with fresh English peas, roasted chicken, and a pea puree. Since she is not a Minnesota native, Beth enjoys discovering great local restaurants and markets, though she doubts she will ever be able to embrace cheese curds or lutefisk. She says, "The Craftsman is a great local restaurant serving local and organic ingredients." She is also a fan of Southern cuisine and is always on the lookout for good fried chicken or North Carolina barbeque.

When she's not in the kitchen or tasting a new wine (one of her other pursuits), Beth can be found in the Minneapolis Office of M&G, where she is a second year associate in the litigation group. Beth's path to M&G took her from Florida to Massachusetts to New Hampshire to Minnesota. After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in Biochemistry, she managed research resources at Massachusetts General Hospital. Whether it be in the kitchen dealing crafting the perfect barbeque sauce or in the courtroom before an important hearing, Beth maintains a high quality of life and provides a high level of quality and benefit to her clients.
