Pro Bono

Committed to providing legal services that many need, but cannot afford

Merchant & Gould is deeply committed to the delivery of pro bono services to individuals of limited means and public interest organizations in need of legal representation. The firm not only provides intellectual property pro bono services, but is actively involved in a number of other legal areas, including consumer law, and housing law.

Merchant & Gould's commitment to pro bono legal services is demonstrated in several ways, including promoting an environment that allows its attorneys to deliver needed pro bono services, creating partnerships with organizations such as the Children's Law Center of Minnesota to co-sponsor pro bono educational seminars, sponsoring scholarships at local pro bono service organizations like the Minnesota Justice Foundation, and having a number of attorneys participating on the boards and committees of organizations such as the Volunteer Lawyers Network. Our pro bono program encourages our attorneys to continue to provide the legal services that many need, but cannot afford.
