Merchant & Gould Named Top Trademark Filer In National Ranking

MINNEAPOLIS – December 2, 2008 – Merchant & Gould is pleased to announce that it has been named one of the top trademark law firms in the United States with 254 applications filed for the second quarter of 2008 and 573 applications filed year-to-date by CSC’s Trademark Insider. The firm has consistently been recognized as a top trademark filer by the publication since its inception in 2002.

The firm also announced that Andrew S. Ehard has been named one of Top 50 Trademark Attorneys in the nation with 106 trademark applications filed for the first two quarters of 2008. This is the second time Ehard has been listed as Top Trademark Attorney by CSC. He was previously included among the top filers in 2007.

The ranking appears in the annual CSC Trademark Insider report, a publication that tracks trademark filing activity with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Awards are determined by the total number of new trademark applications filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office during the 2008 calendar year.
