Merchant & Gould attorney will co-chair 14-person panel to recommend candidates to judgeship
Merchant & Gould, a leading intellectual property law firm, announced today that Rachel Zimmerman, a partner in the Minneapolis office, has been appointed by Chief Judge Davis of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, to co-chair a Merit Selection Panel.
Zimmerman will help lead the panel of area attorneys that will advise the Court on the selection of a new United States Magistrate Judge who will serve in the Twin Cities metro area. The panel will review applications and interview prospective candidates in order to recommend five leading candidates for the position.

Zimmerman serves as an Officer and Director of the Federal Bar Association Minnesota Chapter and was selected for inclusion as a Top Women Attorneys in Minnesota for 2014. At Merchant & Gould she serves on the recruiting and technology committees.
