With more than 40 years' experience in practice, Chuck brings a broad and deep understanding of intellectual property law to his clients' issues. He likes to strategize with clients, looking at all of the IP options available and presenting them with avenues to meet their goals. He calls his clients fascinating people who are creative and entrepreneurial, willing to go out and challenge the world with new ideas, and he enjoys partnering with them to help build and strengthen their businesses.
Chuck advises clients on all aspects of Intellectual Property law, including the establishment, procurement, management and development of their domestic and international IP strategy and portfolios. His practice includes due diligence investigations, IP assessment and valuation, validity and infringement opinions, domestic and international IP management counseling, licensing, patentability and use-clearance searching, trademarks and branding, trade secret and know-how management, advertising, unfair competition and warranty law, and litigation support.
His technological experience includes electronics and mechanical designs, integrated circuit and semiconductor design and fabrication, computers and software, superconductivity, thick and thin films, and vapor deposition.
Chuck enjoys golfing and other sports and spending time with his family, particularly now with his grandchildren.
