With more than 30 years' experience at the firm, Jody knows her way around a patent case. She is responsible for the docketing of litigation cases, factual research, deposition and trial preparation, and management of electronic discovery and electronic files. She currently focuses on drug-related ANDA litigation. She is also experienced in Federal Circuit appellate work, cases before the United States International Trade Commission, has drafted many of the firm’s in-house forms and handbooks for litigation procedures, and been involved with in-house training.

Jody became Merchant & Gould's first paralegal in 1983. She was hired as a secretary in 1979 and worked extensively with Robert Edell, including providing deposition and courtroom support. When one of the firm's clients wanted her to work on all their cases, she was promoted to the first paralegal position.

Jody's teenage daughter and son keep her busy attending their activities. She's a gourmet cook and an artist who draws, paints, and sews in her spare time.
