Ben has represented technology clients in United States District Courts throughout the country on a variety of intellectual property litigation matters. He has a diverse technical background that includes electrical engineering, computer architecture, and fundamental physics research, which allows him to work effectively with a variety of clients on a wide range of technologies.
Before attending law school, Ben worked for three years in an atomic physics laboratory at the University of Washington, where he designed, built, and tested various analog components that interfaced with a cryogenic Penning trap mass spectrometer, including the redesign of a liquid-helium GaAs FET amplifier. Ben has also worked in the Adaptive Computing Machines and Emulators laboratory where he conducted research relating to standard cell libraries for high-performance encryption FPGAs based upon a RaPiD architecture. In addition to his traditional studies during law school, he also studied intellectual property law at Temple University in Tokyo, Japan.
