Matthew Hollister is a technical advisor in the Minneapolis office of Merchant and Gould. Prior to joining Merchant and Gould, Matthew was an electrical engineer at Medtronic working as a clinical systems engineer for implantable medical devices and later as a hardware design engineer for external medical applications.

As a graduate student at the University of Minnesota he conducted research in the field of molecular electronics by designing, fabricating and characterizing novel nanoscale field-effect devices. In addition, he taught courses in MEMS design, the science and engineering of thin film materials and semiconductor physics.
