While earning his Ph.D., Paul participated in the Technological Innovation: Generating Economic Results (TI:GER®) program (http://www.tiger.gatech.edu). TI:GER® is a collaboration between various Georgia Tech colleges and the Emory Law School that brings together education in management, economics, law, science, and engineering. In the TI:GER® program, he led a team, which included a Georgia Tech M.B.A. student and two Emory Law School J.D. students, in the commercialization of new technologies.
Paul earned a M.S. in Paper Science and Engineering at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology at Georgia Tech. He applied this education as a product development specialist at the Eka Chemicals division of Akzo Nobel and as a process engineer at Georgia-Pacific Corporation's Port Hudson consumer products production facility.
Paul's research has been published in Molecular Biology of the Cell and the Journal of Cell Science. Paul also has previous intellectual property experience as a scientific consultant for Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP. |
