Merchant & Gould is pleased to announce the hiring of Kendra D. Brodin as Manager of Business Development. In this position, she will work with firm partners to develop individual and firm-wide strategic business plans, identify prospects, and encourage authentic relationships with current and future clients.
With an extensive background in career and professional development for lawyers and organizational strategic planning, Kendra brings more than 12 years of experience to Merchant & Gould. She previously served as Executive Director of the Minneapolis branch of Special Counsel, a leading legal staffing and placement firm, and Director of Career and Professional Development at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Her prior professional experience also includes private coaching and consulting for lawyers and law firms, as well as nonprofit management and policy work.

An active member in several legal associations, Kendra is a leader in the local law community. She has served as an officer with Minnesota Women Lawyers since 2014 and was just nominated to the office of President-Elect for the 2016-2017 term, which began on July 1, 2016. She also currently serves on the Hennepin County Bar Association Board of Directors and is the chair of both the HCBA Mentorship Task Force and the Law Firm Leadership Planning Committee.
Kendra earned a bachelor’s degree with highest honors from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania, and her law degree with honors from the University of Minnesota Law School.
