Merchant & Gould Provides Legal Help to Minnesotans Living in Poverty

Sponsors annual VLN Riverfront Celebration to promote equal justice for all
Aug. 11, 2017

highlights

  • The Riverfront Celebration will be hosted at the Nicollet Island Pavilion in Minneapolis on September 14, 2017.
  • Merchant & Gould is proud to support this event.

Merchant & Gould, a national intellectual property law firm, is proud to support Volunteer Lawyers Network Ltd., which builds a better Minnesota by protecting the rights of people living in poverty.

People of color, women, immigrants, the elderly, people with disabilities and the LGBTQ community are more likely to live in poverty, which is perpetuated by a lack of access to the justice system.

Merchant & Gould believes in bridging that gap by supporting programs that connect people in poverty with lawyers from Minnesota’s top law firms and corporations.

As one VLN client put it, “Without a lawyer, I don’t have rights.”

This is the sad reality for too many Minnesotans, and Merchant & Gould is making a stand that everyone is entitled to fair representation before the courts. By supporting VLN, Merchant & Gould is making the goal of building a more equitable Minnesota a priority.

The Riverfront Celebration will be hosted at the Nicollet Island Pavilion on September 14, 2017. To learn more about attending, please call 612-752-6655 or visit the VLN website.
