Knoxville Office Congratulates Steven Taylor on Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics

October 11, 2018

Merchant & Gould is pleased to announce that Steven Taylor, a member of its Knoxville team, earned his Ph.D. in nuclear physics from the University of Tennessee.  Steven is a technical advisor for the firm, helping inventors get the broadest coverage possible for their creations.  He joined Merchant & Gould in January 2018.

Having a nuclear physicist on staff at an intellectual property law firm is unconventional. But, this is exactly why Steven loves being with the firm.  In his role, he applies his skills and education to research, assess and apply new information to every task.

Steven’s skills and education make him a great asset to the patent prosecution team. He works in tandem with the firm’s attorneys to create comprehensive patent applications and respond to USPTO Office Actions, securing protection for inventors of semiconductors, manufacturing products, computer memory and much more.
