Merchant & Gould, an intellectual property law firm, announced that it has been named as one of the top trademark filers in the United States and that Andrew Ehard has been named as one of the top individual filers in a recent Trademark Insider report. The ranking appears in the Q3-2007Trademark Insider published by the Corporation Service Company (CSC). The quarterly publication tracks trademark filing activity with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The report identifies Merchant & Gould among the top ten filers in the United States, with 631 trademarks in the first three quarters of 2007. "We're consistently proud to have Merchant & Gould rank among the most active trademark and copyright law firms in the United States," said Randy King, CEO and managing director, Merchant & Gould.
Andy Ehard, a partner at the firm, was ranked as one of the top individual filers for Q3-2007. "Andy encompasses tremendous talent and client commitment that has allowed him to stand out amongst his peers within the industry. Firms are ranked based on the total number of new trademark applications filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office during the applicable time period. Individual rankings are determined by the total number of times an individual attorney is listed in new trademark applications filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office during a given quarter.
