Merchant & Gould, an intellectual property law firm, is thrilled to announce that it has added three professionals in its Atlanta office, including two partners. The three, previously with Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, are experts in the biotechnology, chemical, pharmaceutical and related industries. The additions bring the total number of professionals at Merchant & Gould's Atlanta office to 17 and the total number of attorneys firm wide in the Chemical/Biotechnology practice group to 31.

Jeffery Arnold joins the firm as a partner. His practice focuses on patent prosecution relating to the chemical, polymer and pharmaceutical sciences. He received his J.D. from Loyola University College of Law in 1987 and has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee.
David Wigley, Ph.D.
David Wigley joins the firm as a partner. David's practice focuses on chemical, pharmaceutical, polymer, materials science, nanotechnology, optical sciences, biotechnology and related arts. He received his J.D. from the University of Arizona in 2000, and holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from Purdue University.
Todd Obijeski joins as a patent agent. He has industry experience in the chemical, polymer and plastics packaging industries. Todd has an M.S. in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a B.S. in chemical engineering from Cornell University.
