Merchant & Gould, an intellectual property and litigation law firm, announced that René Pereyra has joined its Denver office as an associate. Pereyra practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on domestic and international patent prosecution, intellectual property strategic planning, technology licensing and patent litigation support.
Pereyra also counsels clients with respect to patent infringement and patent validity issues. He has experience in a variety of technology areas including semiconductor processing equipment, gaming devices, mechanical devices, extractive metallurgy, nanoparticle manufacturing, fuel cells, and computer software.
René obtained his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He also holds a bachelor of science in materials engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the American Society for Materials International and the American Chemical Society.
