As a member of AAA's Commercial Panel, Alan is available to serve in arbitration or mediation of commercial disputes, including all types of intellectual property matters. Alan has been a Qualified Neutral for mediation and arbitration services in Minnesota since 1999 and continues an active practice in all areas of intellectual property litigation and strategic patent analysis.

Alan practices all aspects of intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent litigation, client counseling and alternative dispute resolution. He is experienced in patent infringement and validity assessment, all phases of patent prosecution, as well as advising clients on patent portfolio management. Alan's areas of technical experience include immunology, microbiology, genetic engineering, food science, applied chemistry, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, commercial and consumer products.
