Merchant & Gould, an intellectual property and litigation law firm, announced that Elizabeth J. Reagan has joined its Denver office as an associate attorney. At Merchant & Gould, Betsy practices general intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, and copyright law. Her practice focuses primarily on patent prosecution and litigation relating to the chemical, mechanical, and computer science arts.
Prior to joining the firm, Betsy served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert J. Kapelke of the Colorado Court of Appeals (2003-2004). She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Michael L. Bender of the Colorado Supreme Court (2004-2005).
Betsy graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering & Petroleum Refining and obtained her J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Colorado School of Law, where she was an editor of the University of Colorado Law Review. She is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and Tau Beta Pi. Betsy is also an active member of the American Inns of Court.
