Merchant & Gould Names Timothy Scull Shareholder

Intellectual property law firm Merchant & Gould has promoted Timothy Scull to shareholder in its Denver office. Scull practices general intellectual property law with an emphasis on preparation and prosecution of patent applications. He has been with Merchant & Gould for six years and has been practicing intellectual property law for eight years.

"Tim combines an extensive knowledge of patent law, particularly as it applies in the software and electronics industries, with an exceptional level of client service," said Randy King, CEO and managing director of Merchant & Gould. Scull has experience in various technologies, but focuses on electronics, computer architecture and software applications. He provides infringement and validity opinions with respect to existing patents, and has experience preparing and prosecuting trademark applications and providing opinions with respect to whether potential trademarks may be registered in view of existing marks. Scull has a B.S. from Colorado State University and a J.D. from University of Colorado Law School.
