This prestigious award recognizes partners worldwide for excellent client service in terms of adding value to the clients’ business, as determined by surveying corporate counsel. Research for the award involves feedback from and interviews with in-house counsel on the quality of service provided by attorneys and firms. This year, Lexology received over 2,500 nominations.
Andy represents and counsels significant brand holders in the management of their global trademark portfolios and the selection, clearance, and registration of new brands. He also represents clients involved in domestic and foreign trademark oppositions and cancelation proceedings. Before joining Merchant & Gould, Andrew developed a high level of experience in the area of trademark clearance as the Director of Intellectual Property Services with the trademark research and brand protection company NameProtect Inc. As a Trademark Examining Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, he prosecuted more than 5,000 applications.
