In her position as a Paralegal in the firm's Foreign Filing Department, Kay files applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in their capacity as Receiving Office for Patent Cooperation Treaty applications, works with foreign associates to file applications in foreign countries, and maintains the foreign filing docket and updates attorneys and clients on deadlines and actions.
Kay joined Merchant & Gould in 1988 as a legal secretary after serving as a legal secretary in the Office of General Counsel at Honeywell. In 1995, she became a Paralegal in the Foreign Filing Department. She loves the variety in her job and the challenge of establishing good relationships with foreign associates.
When she's not in the office, Kay bowls, golfs, goes dancing, and sings karaoke with friends.
