Nancy Lutz protects clients’ valuable trademarks and copyrights domestically and internationally by developing clearance, prosecution, counseling, and enforcement strategies to meet their business needs.
She has managed large, worldwide portfolios that include many well-known trademarks for associations, a prestigious university, and companies in numerous industries, including sporting goods, apparel, telecommunications, financial, medical device, food, and others. Nancy enjoys registering difficult marks at the U.S. Trademark Office and advising on multi-country launches of new products and services. She has filed and prosecuted trademarks in every jurisdiction of the world and overseen complex litigation and oppositions and cancellations in many of them. Nancy also evaluates and counsels on purchases of intellectual property; supervises investigations of infringers; negotiates licenses and other agreements; and conducts due diligence reviews of domestic and foreign intellectual property relating to corporate acquisitions and divestitures and secured transactions.
Nancy represents clients in proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and in Uniform Domain Name Resolution (UDRP) actions.
