Congratulations to Chris Leonard, Merchant &amp; Gould’s Chairman, CEO and Managing Director, who was just recognized by Minnesota Monthly magazine on its “<a href="/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/500-Most-Powerful-Business-leaders-in-MN-2019.pdf">Minnesota 500: The Most Powerful Business Leaders</a>” list, named as one of Minnesota’s most influential leaders in 2019.  While Merchant &amp; Gould attorneys, staff and clients have always valued Chris’ leadership, we are thrilled to celebrate him and his added distinction among the local business community.

Minnesota Monthly magazine’s list identifies the 500 most powerful and influential leaders in Minnesota across more than 60 industries, including law, profiling those who are considered to be “the best and the brightest individuals.”&nbsp; Specifically, Chris was chosen for how his leadership has made a ripple effect on Merchant &amp; Gould, the legal industry and the larger community.&nbsp;

According to Lianna Matt McLernon, editor of Minnesota Monthly magazine, the final list of leaders reflects “Minnesota’s changing landscape of people, products and services.”&nbsp;&nbsp; She added, “We must continue to shine a light on those who deserve recognition, but who are often too humble to seek it out – those who are working tirelessly behind the scenes to make extraordinary contributions to advance corporate and community goals.”

Chris has devoted his career to guarding his client’s innovative ideas.&nbsp; He assumed the top management position at Merchant &amp; Gould in 2018, after founding the firm’s Atlanta and Knoxville offices, serving on the executive committee, and gaining valuable litigation experience.&nbsp; While his specialties are in software, e-commerce, healthcare data management, telecommunications, and electrical and mechanical technologies, he has breadth and depth in all areas of IP law.&nbsp;
