Inside Merchant & Gould’s New Office in Downtown Minneapolis

New space supports the paperless movement and a more-collaborative environment

Merchant & Gould, a national intellectual property (IP) law firm headquartered in Minneapolis, relocated its office today to a more collaborative space that’s better suited for its current practice, innovative culture, future growth and ongoing client needs.

Effective today, Aug. 5, Merchant & Gould’s new downtown office is located at Fifth Street Towers, 150 S. Fifth St., Ste. #2200, Minneapolis, MN 55402.
The phone number remains the same, 612-332-5300.

Advances in technology have allowed Merchant & Gould to move to an environmentally-sound, paperless environment and significantly reduce its footprint. For example, the firm no longer needs the extra space allotted for an expansive library, obsolete file cabinets, and outdated equipment and systems.

The new set-up is more efficient and less hierarchical with one-size offices; more collaborative, open workspaces; ergonomic furnishings and more natural light for a healthier work environment; and updated technology in a state-of-the-art setting.  Along with the move, Merchant & Gould refreshed with colors, tone, furniture and style that radiate a fun, but hardworking atmosphere that’s innovative – better representing its innovation and technology focus.  The result is professional, elegant and efficient -- yet different and creative.

“We are thrilled with our new environment, which better reflects Merchant & Gould’s innovative, entrepreneurial spirit.  Designed with intention, the space integrates the updated needs of our clients, attorneys and staff members” said Christopher J. Leonard, Managing Director, CEO for Merchant & Gould.  “As great as the office looks, it’s really about how it makes us all feel.  We are extremely excited about the new opportunities associated with this move.”
