Merchant &amp; Gould is pleased to announce the promotion of Gregory G. Johnson to partner, expanding the firm’s local leadership in the Denver office.&nbsp; His promotion was effective Feb. 1, 2020.

Greg’s practice focuses on patent prosecution, helping every-size business, from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, protect their innovations. He has been working with companies in the electrical and software industries for more than 13 years and has handled matters in numerous areas, including the following: authentication, computer memory, database management systems, encryption, gaming machines, graphic user interfaces, medical devices, networking communications and protocols, telephony devices, security camera systems, personal transport devices and operation systems. Greg also has many years of experience analyzing patent portfolios to help identify licensing opportunities for his clients.

Greg solidifies his experience in technology with a background in software development. Prior to his career as a patent attorney, he worked as a software developer. This experience allows him to understand the intricacies involved in software and computer technology.
