London Lundstrum is an associate in Merchant &amp; Gould’s Boston office, where she focuses her practice on trademark law. She advises clients on brand protection strategies, helping navigate trademark clearance, registration, and enforcement on both a domestic and global scale. Her experience spans a range of industries including pharmaceuticals, bio-tech, medical devices, consumer goods, robotics, and higher education.

London brings a practical and client-centered approach to her work, informed by real-world trademark prosecution and enforcement experience. She works carefully with each client to develop the best prosecution and enforcement strategies for their particular needs. London has helped clients develop global trademark portfolios and has a deep understanding of the importance of both domestic and international protection as well as the nuances of trademark protection and enforcement in a wide variety of international jurisdictions. &nbsp;London also as a strong academic foundation in IP. She has been recognized for her writing on the intersection of law and internet culture, receiving second place in the Boston Patent Law Association’s annual writing competition for her article on intellectual property considerations surrounding memes. In addition, she has been published in the <em>World Trademark Review </em>regarding the impact of the Trademark Modernization Act of 2020 on the pharmaceutical industry (<a href="https://url.us.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/if-BCDk0D1cO18EjsWfAHjJ1Z3?domain=worldtrademarkreview.com">https://www.worldtrademarkreview.com/article/why-pharmaceutical-brands-should-care-about-the-trademark-modernisation-act-of-2020</a>).

London is a member of the International Trademark Association and is actively engaged in staying up to date on the latest developments in trademark law globally. She has served as a member of the Emerging Issues Committee and is currently a member of the Technology Transformation Committee.

Prior to joining the firm, London practiced at a full-service law firm in Arkansas, where she handled matters across multiple practice areas and gained hands-on experience in litigation, mediation, and depositions. She then joined an IP boutique in Boston where she gained deeper trademark experience. While in law school, she served as a legal intern in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston and supported intellectual property research as a law school research assistant.
