We understand that intellectual property often crosses national borders. Many of our attorneys regularly work across borders to secure and protect the rights of our domestic clients in other countries, and help foreign clients secure, protect and defend their U.S. rights. We partner with colleagues from throughout the world on the full range of intellectual property issues on a daily basis.
On matters relating to patent or trademark searching, new applications, opinions, or special issues, our international attorneys will work with attorneys in appropriate M&G practice groups, tech advisors, paralegals, and other legal and administrative specialists, if needed. On matters relating to litigation, our international attorneys will work closely with our highly respected litigation attorneys to bring the best possible service to our clients.
We have a dedicated foreign patent filing team, which is highly skilled in procedural matters with respect to obtaining patent rights in other countries. The foreign patent filing team works with our international attorneys to coordinate work with law firms in other countries. We also have an experienced staff who can efficiently and promptly attend to the filing of U.S. applications for patents or trademarks and assist in the prosecution of those applications.
From the point of view of our U.S. clients, our International Group can rapidly deal with almost any issue in a foreign country by accessing the law firms we have worked with successfully for many years throughout the world. From our international clients’ point of view, our International Group has developed an efficient workforce of legal and administrative specialists, paralegals, and staff engineers to take care of their U.S. trademark, patent, copyright, and litigation matters.
