Though Matt is primarily responsible for phone systems, networks, computer technology, and security at a high level, he can sometimes be found crawling under a desk unplugging computers during an office reorganization or answering the help desk line when his staff is tied up. After earning a J.D. and becoming licensed to practice law in two states and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Matthew discovered he preferred to be hands-on in the tech field rather than an advisor in it.
Matt joined Merchant & Gould in 1998 as a network administrator and was promoted to Manager of Network Infrastructure Communication Applications in 2003. In 2005, he became Director of Information Technology. He enjoys being a technical nerd and getting to work for an organization he has known and respected for years. Because of his legal background, he understands the technological needs of attorneys and clients and can blend his two fields of experience in order to provide excellent service.
Matt spends his off hours serving as a taxi service for his children. He and his wife are foodies who love to dine out and travel.
