Misty serves as Merchant & Gould’s Director of Business Development & Marketing. While based in Minneapolis, she manages the firm’s marketing, business development, and PR efforts across all seven offices. With the firm since 2001, Misty has a deep dedication and enjoys a pivotal role in strategizing and implementing the firm’s business development practices.
Strategic Advisor & Experienced Marketer
As part of the leadership team, Misty dedicates her time to defining the strategic vision of the firm and executing that vision to maintain Merchant & Gould’s position as a leading national intellectual property law firm. She’s constantly evaluating new growth areas and leading new business development initiatives to further support the firm’s development goals.
Misty’s breadth and depth of marketing experience aid in her ability to develop the strategy for all marketing endeavors while also supporting her small but nimble department in executing that strategy. With an internal drive to consistently exceed expectations, Misty leads all marketing endeavors to benefit the whole firm, making M&G’s brand and each individual attorney shine.
Law firm marketing is one of the most competitive marketing spheres around. This is why Misty’s goal is to ensure that each lawyer and the firm, as a whole, stands out from the crowd, while keeping M&G front and center in any marketing arena.
Certified Master Coach
One of Misty’s greatest passions is empowering and coaching those around her. She partners one-on-one and in small groups to help the firm’s attorneys find new business opportunities and develop their interpersonal and client connection skills.
Additionally, Misty spearheads coaching initiatives across the firm in ways that make it feel like a natural extension of the firm’s day-to-day. Her goal? To ensure each attorney embraces their strengths and puts their best foot forward for themselves and the betterment of the firm. In 2019, Misty became a Certified Master Coach through Law Vision and LSSO’s dual Coaching Advantage© certification program.
It Isn’t “All Work and No Play,” Of Course
Off-the-clock, you’ll find Misty spending cherished time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She also volunteers when she can; she’s currently on the board of directors for her neighborhood association.
