Merchant &amp; Gould is pleased to announce that <a href="https://www.merchantgould.com/Professionals/Daniel-L-Bruzzone">Daniel L</a><a href="/people/daniel-l-bruzzone/">. Bruzz</a><a href="https://www.merchantgould.com/Professionals/Daniel-L-Bruzzone">one</a> joined the Minneapolis office as a partner on May 31, in the Electrical Practice Group.

Dan brings more than a decade of experience in patent development, drafting, patent prosecution, filing strategy, and trademark litigation strategy. He deepens the firm’s impact with his technical background in the following industries: medical devices, pharmaceutical, semiconductors, consumer products, optical systems, networks, software, and data security. Dan uses his vast experience to determine the most useful filing strategies and patent claims to benefit each client.

As a physicist and engineer, Dan launched his passion for patent law while working in product development at 3M from 2005-2011. After then, he graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Minneapolis and began work as an attorney in Minneapolis.&nbsp;

Dan is active in the Minneapolis community, both personally and professionally. He has been recognized by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a “North Star Lawyer” for his pro bono service to people of low income at no fee in each year since 2016. He volunteers as a patent attorney in the Legal CORPS Inventor Assistance Program, where he provides pro bono legal assistance to Minnesota inventers; is an Assistant Head Election Judge in Ramsey County, Minn.; and volunteers at the Saint Paul Tool Library on weekends.&nbsp;
