Breanna Blask is a litigation paralegal at Merchant’s Minneapolis office. As a multitasking team player, she assists the legal team with IP litigation, primarily on ANDA-related cases.
A Talented Organizer and Researcher
Finalizing products requires a significant amount of background work. With Breanna, the legal team and clients are assured that all deadlines will be efficiently met. She keeps the team on track and fills in the necessary gaps to keep the process moving forward for clients.
On any given day, her tasks may include:
- Maintaining litigation databases, document organization and production for Intellectual Property cases
- Conferring with clients and other involved parties to gather and track case information Reviewing, editing and proofreading litigation documents
- Researching state statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, prior art and documents
As a dedicated supporter, Breanna is driven by her desire to solve challenges and get the job done. Her robust motivation combined with her professional skills allows her to complete a variety of tasks with efficiency and accuracy seamlessly.
Breanna’s hard work and dedication have been recognized and appreciated at Merchant. She was given the Unsung Heroes award for working through the COVID pandemic.
A Compelling Journey Into the Paralegal Field
Inspired by her grandmother, a former paralegal, Breanna found herself drawn to the law, specifically litigation. From the procedures and formality of the courtroom to the structured arguments between plaintiffs, defendants and attorneys, Breanna was inspired by the research process that goes into litigation.
The road to Breanna’s paralegal career was paved with hard work and dedication. She started in the field in 2016 as the Manager of Law Firm Office Services for Merchant where she eventually progressed into the position of an International Legal Specialist in 2021.
In June 2022, after working full-time to put herself through school, Breanna earned her ABA-approved Paralegal Associate’s degree from North Hennepin Community College. She became a litigation paralegal at Merchant in September of 2022.
Some of Breanna Blask’s most significant strengths include her elite organizational skills and her talent for technology. These capabilities enable her to stay on top of the work at hand and evolve with the industry as new advancements occur.
Every day at a law office can be different, so Breanna makes sure she’s constantly learning and training to hone her professional skills. When she’s away from the office, Breanna likes to spend her time outside enjoying the rare warm weather of Minnesota with her boyfriend and her pets.
