As a Trademark Legal Specialist, Carolyn has over 20 years of trademark experience. Her responsibilities include maintaining national and international trademark portfolios, filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, handling assignment recordations in the U.S. and foreign countries, communications with foreign associates, and corresponding with clients regarding general trademark inquiries and deadlines.&nbsp;

Carolyn first joined the firm in 1990 as a legal secretary to one of the senior partners, and in 2003 was promoted to trademark legal specialist. Between the years of 2006-2014, Carolyn served as trademark paralegal in a large general practice firm and a small IP boutique firm, then returned to Merchant &amp; Gould in 2014.

When not working, Carolyn’s time is spent with her family and friends. She likes going to theater performances and sporting events, reading, traveling, and hanging out with the family dog.
