Daidre Burgess is a partner in the firm’s Minneapolis office who works with clients to develop and execute long-term patent strategies across a broad range of technologies. She represents both established companies and emerging businesses, helping them build and expand patent portfolios that support innovation, growth, and competitive positioning.
Daidre has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications for domestic and international clients in the chemical, biotechnology, and mechanical technology areas. Her work also includes freedom-to-operate and invalidity analyses, product clearances, agreement preparation and review, patentability opinions, and competitor landscape assessments. She regularly supports clients in due diligence matters related to investments, acquisitions, and other strategic business transactions.
Before entering private practice, Daidre worked as an advanced product development engineer, where she contributed to new product development and cross-functional engineering teams. Her technical background, combined with her years of experience advising clients on complex intellectual property matters, allows her to provide practical, business-focused guidance tailored to each client’s goals.
