Isabel Carlisano is an associate in the firm’s Minneapolis office, where she brings experience in client advocacy, litigation, and legal research to her work. Her background in neuroscience also provides a strong scientific foundation for understanding complex technical issues.
Before joining Merchant, Isabel gained substantial practical experience as a certified student attorney with the University of Minnesota Law Clinics. She conducted legal research, drafted pleadings and motions, advised clients, and represented them in mediations, hearings, and other stages of litigation. She also served as a judicial intern in Hennepin County, where she observed both civil and criminal proceedings and gained firsthand insight into trial strategy and courtroom practice.
Isabel’s earlier experience in client management further strengthened her ability to communicate clearly, identify client needs, and work efficiently on time-sensitive matters. Combined with her scientific training, these experiences allow her to approach legal problems with curiosity, attention to detail, and a practical, client-focused perspective.
